She graduated from Antreville High School and was a 1945 graduate of the Anderson Nursing School. She retired with 40 years of service from the Abbeville County Hospital. She was a member of the Abbeville Pilot Club, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Upper Long Presbyterian Church, where she was an Elder.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet A. Williams and her husband, William E. "Bill" Williams; two grandsons, W. Mark Williams & Brian D. Williams; brothers, Harold "Doug" Patterson & Steve A. Patterson; sister, Barbara McShane.
She was preceded in death by hr parents, Harold Alexander Patterson & Eunice Caroline Fisher Patterson.
Interment in the Church graveyard (Shiloh United Methodist Church) followed funeral service conducted Sunday, March 2, 2008.
