Funeral Services Held Monday for George Hamilton
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Foursquare Gospel church in Caldwell for George Hamilton, 18, son of Mrs. Martha Hamilton, who died Thursday night in Ogden, Utah. Young Hamilton and a companion were riding on a freight train and as the train neared the Hooper road, three miles south of Ogden, they decided to jump from the train. The companion, whose name was not learned, jumped successfully, but the Caldwell youth caught his foot and is believed to have struck his head against a wheel box in the fall. Death resulted from a compound fracture of the skull and other injuries.
Young Hamilton was born July 3, 1913. He leaves besides his mother, five sisters, Mrs. Viola Degrace of San Francisco, Mrs. Irene Naff of Seattle, Mrs. Mabel Beatty of Caldwell, Mrs. Mildeta Adams of Homedale and Mrs.. Annabel Gowing of Portland, and one brother, James, of Sans Basin, Idaho.
The Rev. Mr. Graybill of Nampa was in charge of the funeral services and interment was made in Canyon Hill cemetery.
