He was born April 13, 1920, in Elkhart, to Emery and Lucy Lathom Addington. He graduated from Elkhart High School.
A lifetime resident of Morton County, Mr. Addington was a farmer/rancher. He was a member of Hugoton Masonic Lodge No. 406 for more than 50 years and a member of the Morton County Grazing Association. He enjoyed working with cattle, collecting old coins, and playing cards and dominos.
On Aug. 13, 1947, he married Loreine Toadvine in Las Vegas. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Cammy Harrold of Liberal; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Victor Lee Addington; and two brothers, Alden and William Addington.
Funeral was at the United Methodist Church in Elkhart. Burial was at Elkhart Cemetery, with Masonic rites conducted by Masonic Lodge No. 406 of Hugoton.
