Andrew Jackson Smith Sr is the son of Redoric/Reddick and Mary A (Clark) Smith.
Andrew fought in the Civil War, Co. B, 3rd Ms Infantry, Patton's Mississippi Boy's, Lauderdale and Clarke Co. organized 6 Mar 1862. He is buried near his father, (Reddick Smith Sr, no grave marker) and has a Civil War marker at his grave site. He was a Baptist Minister who would ride on horse-back to Shady Grove (near Laurel) to preach. He was also the minister of Palestine Baptist Church for a number of years.
