Mrs. Lucinda Morfitt passed into eternity on Sunday at her home southeast of Sheldon after a lingering illness of tuberculosis, from the effects of which she had long been a sufferer. The deceased lady was known in her youth as Miss Lucinda Philby. She was united in marriage to Ervin Morfitt who survives her. Four daughters--Mrs. Frank Abbot, Mrs. Frank Seaton, Mrs. Peter Verschoor, and Myrtle Morfitt--and one son Walter also survive her. Two children had preceded her to the spirit world. Dr. J. J. Bushnell conducted services at the residence on Tuesday afternoon. Interment in East Lawn Cemetery followed. The deceased lady had resided for many years in that vicinity and was held in esteem by those among whom she had resided for so long. Death undoubtedly came to her as a longed for release from long suffering.
