Charles Wilbur Abel, was born on 15 Sep 1875 in Lost River Tnsp , Martin Co. to Hiram F. ABEL b: 17 Sep 1845 in Martin Co., IN and Sarah ROBERTSON b: 27 Jun 1842 in Orange Co., Indiana. He first married Edna TERRY b: 22 Feb 1880 and then remarried on 29 Aug 1906. He joined Military Service Company "B", 22nd U.S. Infantry. He died on 30 Sep 1912 in Fort Worth, Texas - Fort Bliss and was buried in Unknown Wagoner's Chapel, Martin Co., IN. His Obituary appeared in The Sentinel IV-104 Loogootee, IN.

Private, Company B, 22nd Infantry regiment, died at Fort Bliss, Texas, he was serving his 2nd enlistment.
