Barbara L. Abrahamson, 68, of Great Bend, died Dec. 6 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita. She was born Aug. 22, 1941, near Alamota, the daughter of Bernard R. and Esther R. Kehr Wear. She was a retired cosmetologist and nurse's aide. She was a resident of Great Bend since 2005, formerly of Kinsley.
Mrs. Abrahamson belonged to Harvest Reign Fellowship, Great Bend.
On Dec. 12, 1976, she married Charles William Abrahamson at Kinsley. He preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 2004.
Survivors include one daughter, Melanie Wear, Great Bend; one brother, Byrl Wear, Claflin, four sisters, Betty Naylor, Parkville, Mo., Berdyna Proctor, Plattsburg, Mo., Bonita "Bonnie" Jamieson, Great Bend, and Belynda Simbala, Colleyville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Vyrl, Earl and Benjamin Wear, and one sister, Beverly Thoreson.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Morell Funeral Home, Larned, with Henry and Michell Conner presid-ing. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday. Burial will be in Garfield Cemetery, Garfield.
