In 2020 DNA/Y-DNA testing proved that William G. Clements is the biological child of Mary E. Postlethwaite and Milton M. Rhodes both of McVeytown, Mifflin County, PA; they were never married. William G. Clements had been fostered out / adopted from PA to MD in the year of 1916. The adoptive parents, Edna P. (Beauchamp) Clements (of Salisbury, MD), and Charles Reginald Clements (of Leonardtown, MD) traveled to PA for the "informal" adoption. To date no formal records or birth certificate have been located. This update is only intended to inform researchers, not to upset family history. We are all family.

Born in Lewistown, PA, he retired from the District of Columbia Government where he was an Engineering Equipment Mechanic. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Adelta Agnes (Lint) Clements; their children. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Edna Clements; his parents, Charles Reginald Clements of Leonardtown, MD & Edna Pearl Beauchamp of Salisbury, MD; a half-brother, Paul Hubert Clements, and a half sister, Joan Clements. Interment in the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Piscataway, Clinton, MD graveyard followed Mass of Christian Burial conducted on Saturday, October 11, 2008.
