Glenn Drake
Died Yesterday
Glenn Drake, prominent young farmer of Valley township died at his home yesterday afternoon, following a complication of diabetes and pneumonia. He had been ill for several days, but he had not been considered serious. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 o'clock at the Brethren church near Friend.
The deceased is well known in the county, having lived here most of his life. He leaves his wife and two children.

GLENN WILLIAM DRAKE
Glenn William Drake was born July 3, 1909 in Scott county, Kansas and departed this life February 6, 1935. He was the son of Mrs. Anna Drake.
He united with the Brethren church at the age of 10 years and remained a faithful member. He was united in marriage to Harriet Scott and to this union two sons were born, Duane Glenn, age 3, and David Lee, age 7 months. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife and sons; his mother, Mrs. Anna Drake; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Stover of Garden City and Mrs. May Mohler of New Point, Mo.; three brothers, Clyde Drake of Ellinwood, Ks., Clarence Abbott of Skidmore, Mo., and Russell Drake of Scott City, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Brethren church at 2:30 o'clock Friday, February 8, conducted by Rev. Ed Weaver of Garden City and Rev. J. E. Crist. Burial was in the Brethren cemetery. Those present from out of the county were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Mohler of New Point, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Abbott and children, Frances and Margie, of Skidmore, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Drake and daughter, Mary Ellen, of Ellinwood, Clyde Mohler of Windom, Ks., and a number from Garden City.
