Norman Werner Aamland, age 83, of Dunnellon, died on Friday, January 8, 2010 at Hampton Manor West in Dunnellon. He was an alumnus of Leonia High School and a Navy veteran of World War II. After he met and married his wife, they settled into their home in New Brunswick, NJ, where they raised their 6 children, before moving to Dunnellon in 2006. Beloved husband of 58 years to the late Theresa Mary (nee Muller) Aamland. Devoted father of Timothy of Dunnellon, Thomas of Hickory, NC, Jean Silva of Midlothian, VA, Joan Lombardo of Waynesboro, PA, Mary Metros of Jackson, NJ and the late Theodore Paul Aamland of New Brunswick, NJ. Dear brother of Mary Elizabeth (nee Aamland) Heartness of Ayer, MA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Norman will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. Visitation was offered on Friday, January 22, 2010 from 3-5 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 East Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon, FL 34432. A Mass of Christian Burial followed on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 12 PM in the Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, 7525 US Highway 41, Dunnellon, FL 34432. Cremation was private. Inurnment followed at Florida National Cemetery.
