Virginia L. Aamodt

(December 4, 1921 - July 15, 2009)


Virginia L. Aamodt, age 87, a longtime resident of Wheaton, died Wednesday, July 15 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. She was born on December 4, 1921 to Delmer and Hazel O. Aamodt.


Virginia was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII. She worked for 43 years at Pioneer Clubs as an Area Representative. She was an active member of College Church in Wheaton where she sang in the choir and worked with the Pioneer Girls.


She is survived by a sister-in-law, Barbara Aamodt of GA, and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, James, George and Robert Aamodt.


A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 19 at 3 p.m. at College Church in Wheaton, 332 E. Seminary Ave. in Wheaton. Friends may visit with the family from 2 until 3 p.m. Interment will be held at the Wheaton Cemetery on Monday, July 20 at 10 a.m.
