Joyce Murphy Abrams, age 71 of Mt. Eden, died Jan. 14, 2010, at her residence. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Donnie Abrams, Mt. Eden; one son, Tim (Jan) Abrams, New Castle; one daughter, Becky (Rome) Ingram, Mt. Eden; and also Glenn (Rhonda) Klayer, Southville.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 18, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Mt. Eden. Burial was in Grove Hill Cemetery. Visitation was from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at Shannon Funeral Home and from 10 to 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Louisville or the American Cancer Society.
