Katherine Reb was the daughter of Frank and Anna Fresch Reb. She was born February 20, 1900, in Glen Ullin, ND. She had a career as a domestic engineer.
Edward and Katherine were married and had five children: Oscar Adolf, born November 11, 1919, in Beulah, ND; Robert Adolf, born February 6, 1923, in Zap; Viola Adolf Pfeifer Schiermeister, born June 9, 1925, in Zap; LaVerna Adolf Unruh, February 27, 1929, in Zap; and Delma Adolf Hutchingson, born November 10, 1932, in Zap.
Ed served in World War I. Also he worked at the Indian Head Coal Mine for 40 years.
Ed grew up in American Falls, ID, but as a young man returned to North Dakota to work during harvest time. This is when he met Katherine. They were married in American Falls, at which time he left for the service. Returning to to ND after World War I, they lived in Beulah, then moved to Zap. after his retirement from the coal mine they moved to Bismarck.
