A gentle sweet woman who along with her husband 'Andy' raised four boys and two girls. They were Elmer (Elzy), Clarence, Ernest, Elnora (Nora), Dora and Charles (Chuck).
Her father James Carson died while traveling and working in Missouri in Dec. three months before she was born. Her mother Mercy Amelia Reynolds, took her by wagon train when she was just a few months old, along with her half brother (Charles Emery Fenton), & half sister (Etta Mae Fenton), to live near Burwell Nebr. Mercy died when Edith was only 13. Edith then married William (Andy) Abbott on Jan. 1, 1896, when she was only 15.
