Thomas Aagard

Thomas Aagard, 25, of Fergus Falls, formerly of Wadena, passed away June 5, 2009, in Fargo.

A private family service will be held. Friends may call at the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday evening. He is the son of Tom and Kim Aagard of Wadena. A complete obituary will appear in next week's paper.

Obituary for Thomas Aagard
Thomas Jonah Aagard of Fergus Falls, MN, and formerly of Wadena, was born October 16, 1983 to Thomas E. and Kimberly A. (Lovegreen) Aagard in Wadena. He passed away, unexpectedly, on June 5, 2009, at age 25, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Tom grew up in Wadena and had been living in Fergus Falls for 6 years. He was employed as a truck driver for Coca-Cola. He served as an Infantryman at the rank of Specialist in the Minnesota National Guard from October 2005 until his death. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.

Tom was preceded in death by his grandfather, Glen Lovegreen; and his uncle, Gregg Lovegreen.

He is survived by his loving parents, Thomas E. and Kimberly Aagard of Wadena; son, Mavrik of Fergus Falls; sisters, Dannielle of Bemidji, and Hailey of Wadena; Grandparents, LeRoy & Lavon Aagard of Wadena, and Mary & Gene Cunningham of Fallon, NV; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation was held on June 11, 2009. Private funeral services were held at a later date. Full Military Honors were given by B Company, 3rd Platoon 2-136 CAB, Minnesota National Guard. Interment was in the Leaf River Cemetery in rural Wadena. Arrangements were with the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena. (www.johnsonmemorialhome.com)
