Mrs. Viola Abernathy died July 18th, aged 35 years, 2 months and 23 days, after having been in delicate health for some time. Although an invalid Mrs. Abernathy's death was unexpected as she was in her usual health until the day preceding her death.
The deceased was born in Lee county, Iowa, near Fort Madison, April 25th, 1873, and on August 5th, 1893 was united in marriage with J. R. Abernathy, who with one son survives her. She was a member of the First Christian church of Hood River.
