Sophie Swenson was born May 14, 1906 in Butte Valley township of Benson County near Harlow to Elling & Liv Larson Swenson. She was educated at the Washington School in Butte Valley Township. She lived & worked at home until moving to Maddock in 1983. She moved to the Long Term Care Unit of the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby in 1984.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church & its ladies aid of Harlow.
Survivors include 2 brothers, Lars & Ingvold of Leeds; 3 sisters, Signe Ness of Devils Lake, Jorgine Leholm of Tioga & Ella Diesen of Kalispell, Mont.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Swen Swenson; & 2 sisters, Lillie aabrekke & Olga Munson.
