Parents: Andrew Wilson and Elizabeth Brashear (married 1823 In Alabama)

Robert Brashear Wilson's father, Andrew, grandfather, Jesse Moses and Uncle Jesse, were all born in North Carolina. They came to Texas by way of Alabama.

Sometime around 1845, they had all moved to Saline, Hot Springs, Arkansas. Here, Robert married Lavina Wyatt daughter of Abraham Wyatt and Sarah McCormick.

Five years later, when the 1850 census is taken, they are still in Salina. Robert, Lavina and their first three children are living next door to his parents, and Uncle Jesse Wilson is just a few doors down. Grandpa Wilson passed away in 1850 and is buried in Salina.

When the 1860 census is taken, they have all moved again. Andrew and Elizabeth have moved in with Robert, Lavina and their eight children and they are living in Colorado County, Texas, near the town of Oakland. Uncle Jesse is not far away, in Columbus, the county seat of Colorado County.

Two years later Robert, Lavina, their children and his parents are in Kendall County. Shortly after arriving, Robert, and his two oldest sons enroll in the Confederate Army. The following year, 1863, Robert's father Andrew, passes away and is buried in Kendall County.
By 1880 their eight children (with their spouses) and grandchildren are all farming in the Block Creek area.
