Valeria was born on October 8 1913 in Evansville, Indiana to Welker & Flora Brown. She passed away on November 10, 2003 in Evansville, Indiana. She married James Abel in 1937 - he preceded her in death in 1983.
She was a member of Lynnville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Lynnville Chapter of the Eastern Star, all in Indiana. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and retired in 1975 from the Warrick County School Corporation. She taught third grade at Elberfeld and Lynnville elementary schools in Indiana.
Mrs. Abel is survived by two sons, one sister, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
