Elizabeth Abbott, 80, Answers Death Call
Mrs. Elizabeth Ellen Abbott, widow of Nelson Abbott, died at her home on Carmel Ridge Dec. 22, 1944, at the age of 80 years and one month. She had been ill for several months. She and Mr. Abbott were united marriage in 1886. He was taken by death thirty-one years ago.
Surviving are two sons, Harvey Abbott, Elwood, and Charles Abbott at the family home; one daughter, Mrs. Sarah E. Bragg; one step-daughter, Della McPhearson; thirty-one grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Dec. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Cottonwood church with Rev. Warren Chafin in charge. Burial was made in Carmel Ridge cemetery.
