Nila S. Abbey, 101, Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Waynetown, died 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Donegan Health & Rehabilitation Center, Kissimmee.
Mrs. Abbey was a homemaker and seamstress. She attended Wingate schools and Waynetown Baptist Church. Her memberships included Awalim Court 4; Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Hammond; and Narfe Chapter 526, Kissimmee.
She was born July 17, 1900, at Waynetown, to George Jackson and Clara Gardner Westfall. She married George E. Abbey on May 4, 1927. He died Feb. 2, 1979.
Survivors included nieces and nephews. A sister, Joanna Lewellen; and four brothers, Clarence, Marian, Ora and Leslie Westfall, are deceased.
Funeral services are scheduled 1 p.m. Wednesday in Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown, with the Rev. Ron Raffignone officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.
