Funeral services were held from the home near Spring Hope Saturday afternoon for Ruffin Edwards, who died in Newport News Va., early Friday. Mr. Edwards was a member of the Sandy Cross Primitive Baptist church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sallie Edwards; one son, George W. Edwards of Newport News; four daughters, Mrs. S. W. Winstead, Mrs. L. W. Brantley, Mrs. S. B. Williams, all of Spring Hope; and Mrs. J. T. Matthews of Momeyer; three brothers, Nero Edwards of Nashville, , C. C. and G. M. Edwards of Spring Hope; four sisters, Mrs. E. W. Pridgen, Mrs. Wiley Lamm, Mrs. W. T. Baker, Mrs. W. E. Morgan, all of Spring Hope and nine grandchidren; Active pallbearers were Frank Edwards, Everett Morgan, Edward Wilson, Samuel Todd, Glenn Edwards, and Cleveland Edwards.
