Mrs. Lilla Dutton Colson
Guyton - Mrs. Lilla Dutton Colson, 83, died Friday, January 11, 2007 at the Effingham County Hospital.

Mrs. Colson was a life long native of Effingham County, a homemaker and a member of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include two: sons Hermie Colson of Springfield, and Ronnie Colson of Guyton, four daughters; Velitta Johnson of Colbert, Brenda Graham of Hardeeville, SC, Tira (Skeeter) Jenkins of Guyton and Anita Smith of Kildare; a brother-in-law, Otis Tebeau of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Cathleen Colson of Savannah; Special friends, Karen Neidlinger, Martha Rahn and Ernest Tebeau, 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be Sunday, January 14, 2007 at 3:00 p.m., from the Ben Wages Chapel of Riggs Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Springfield Annex.

Memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society 130 Springfield-Egypt Road, Springfield, Ga. 31320-3607 c/o of Susan Exley or to the American Heart Association, 103 North Cedar St, Springfield, Ga. 31329 c/o Margaret Coombe.
