FLORA HALE DIES AT 73

ROYAL CENTER--Mrs. Flora D. Hale 73, of here, died at 8:50 p.m. Friday at Home Hospital, Lafayette, where she had been a patient since Tuesday.

Born in Fulton County Oct. 1, 1895, she was the daughter of Alfred J. and Amanda McLatchey Abbott. On Dec. 4, 1919 she was married to Clyde Swartzell who died Nov. 26, 1940.

In 1947 she was married to Myron E. Hale, who died Feb. 27, 1967.

She was a member of the Royal Center Baptist Christian Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the church.

She belonged to the Mothers of World War 2 and the Boone Township E. H. Club.

Survivors are six sons; Marion Swartzell, Monterey; Ralph Eugene, Rt. 1, Royal Center; Everett, Logansport; Howard, Rt. 4, Logansport; James, Logansport; Junior, Royal Center; a stepson, Marion Hale, Rt. 1, Royal Center; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Nathan and Arthur Abbott, Star City. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at the Harrison Garden Chapel after 10:30 a.m. today. Rites will be there at 2:30 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Harold Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Pro Cemetery.
