SHERMAN — Helen L. Robertson-Acevedo, 86, of Sherman died at 4:10 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, at South Bay Hospital, Sun City Center, Fla.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Watson United Methodist Church, Watson, with burial in Mason Cemetery, Mason. The Rev. Roger McIntire and the Rev. John Heicher will officiate at the services. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pagel Funeral Home, Edgewood, and Saturday at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Watson United Methodist Church or Harvest United Methodist Church, Edgewood.
Mrs. Robertson-Acevedo was born Oct. 7, 1923, in Woodbine, Iowa, the daughter of Charles T. and Mabel R. (Hinkle) Michael. She married the Rev. Oscar "Toby" Robertson Oct. 5, 1940, in St. Charles, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1990. She then married Anthony "Tony" Acevedo Dec. 23, 1996, at Bartow, Fla. He preceded her in death in 2000.
She was retired as office manager at Martin's IGA Plus, Effingham, and was a member of Mason United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her son, Michael E. (wife, Patsy) Robertson of Mason; daughter, Betty J. (husband, Terry) Husky of Sherman; son-in-law, Michael Endebrock of Effingham; brothers, Charles J. (wife, Iris) Michael of Texarkana, Texas, and Thomas W. (Donna) Michael of Stewardson; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two infant brothers and two infant sisters.
