Kellie B. Adams, 87, of Tutor Key died Saturday March 2 in the Paintsville Hospital following an extended illness.
He was a miner and carpenter and was affiliated with the United Baptist Church.
He was the son of the late Daniel and Sarah Caudill Adams.Immediate survivors include his wife Amanda Ward Whitten Adams,a previous wife, Maudie Stapleton Adams, three sons, Bert Adams and Earchell Adams, both of Wharton,WV, Ernest Adams of Waverly,OH, three daughters Callie Daniels of Paintsville, Ethel Preston and Irene Preston both of Tutor Key, and one brother,Henry Adams of Falcon.
Also surviving are five step-sons,Denzil Whitten and Hershell Whitten,both of Prestonsburg, Clifford Whitten of Tutor Key,Jay P. Whitten of Roanoke,VA, and Charles Whitten of Michigan and two step daughters, Marcella Mills of Michigan and Hazel Meade of Williamsport.

Funeral services were conducted by O.I.Williams, C.J.Sparks, and Charles Price on Monday, March 4 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Jones Preston Funeral Home.Burial followed in Highland Memorial Park under the direction of the Jones–Preston Funeral Home.
