Charles A. Abney, 82, Paola, Kas., died yesterday at the Miami County hospital there. Mr. Abney was a lifelong resident of Miami County. He was a farmer before his retirement. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Margaret Abney of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Hruska, Prairie Village; four sons, John Delbert and William Gloyd both of Paola; Merle Oliver of Lind, Wash., and Ben. Two half brothers, Clarence Courtney, Drexel, Mo., and John Courtney, Paola; a half sister, Mrs. Roma Ames, Riley, Kas.; seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Services will be Sunday at the Wilson Chapel, Paola.
