Died Monday, May 3, 2010 at Bortz Health Care of Ypsilanti with his loving family at his side. He was born November 22, 1930 in Ypsilanti the son of Guy Franklin and Katherine Ann (Pratt) Ableson Sr. In 1949 he graduated from Ypsilanti High school where he broke a swimming record. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Airforce where he served during the Korean War and also was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corp. On March 23, 1966 he he married LouRene Welch in Ann Arbor and she survives. Mr. Ableson retired from Ford Motor Co. Rawsonville Plant in 1986 where he helped build the Baseball Diamond. He will always be remembered for his love of sports and traveling. Survivors besides his wife LouRene include eight children; Cynthia, James, Tom, sheryl, Elizabeth, Terry, Laura and Frankielane and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, two brothers Donald and Hugh and one sister Helen. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m. At the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Brother Brad Caudill presiding. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. Till time of service.
