Derrick Leon Abbe was born August 9, 1963 in Duncan to Leon and Peggy Abbe. He lived his early life in Duncan, Enid and Amarillo, Texas, before moving to Yukon in 1978.
Abbe was a 1981 graduate of Yukon High School and was a Baptist. He was employed as a paint and body specialist.
Survivors include; his parents, Leon and Peggy Abbe of Yukon; two daughters, Casey and Courtney Abbe of Yukon; one brother, David Abbe and his wife Pam of El Reno and one sister, Jerrie Connell of Moore.
Also surviving are; grandmother Gladys Parker of Whitesboro, Texas and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Graveside rites were held at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Yukon Cemetery under the direction of Bill Merritt Funeral Service of Yukon.
