Mrs. Eva Maxine Ables Branch, 59, of Goodman died Sunday, March 20, in District Two Community Hospital in Durant. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ewing Goldsmith officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Goodman.
She was a retail merchant, a member of First United Methodist Church and was the widow of Edward T. Branch, Sr.
Survivors include one daughter, Patty Wigginton of Pickens; one son, Jimmy Dale Branch of Hollandale; mother, Mrs. Myrtle C. Ables of Goodman: four sisters, Mrs. Eula Jones and Mrs. Gladys Holden, both of Goodman, Mrs. Mamie Jenkins of Vaughn and Mrs. Clark Cox of Beatrice, Nebraska; three brothers, Ed Ables of Canton, Emmette Ables of Lucedale and Eugene Ables of Yazoo City; and three grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Jimmy Albin, Paul Jones, Jr., Bill Cauthern, Johnny Proctor and Tommy Jones.
