He was educated in Plainville before joining the Army during World War II. He served in the South Pacific. After his service he moved to Atwood where he worked with his uncle at Senecal Chevrolet. He later owned and operated Adams Ford with his son, Joe.
He was united in marriage to Martha L. Williams at Sacred Heart Church in Atwood on May 20, 1946.
He was a lifetime member of K of C Council No. 3033 where he served as the financial secretary and later as the district deputy. He was also a member of VFW and the American Legion. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Atwood.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Oscar and Euphemia; first wife, Martha; second wife, Doris; brother, Francis Adams; three sisters, Romana Abra, Margo Tredwell, and Theresa Meis.
Survivors are: son, Joseph Adams and wife, Connie of Atwood; daughters, Priscilla Mai and husband, Alan of Chandler, Arizona, and Marilyn Pratt of Olathe, Kansas; sisters Pauline Kaiser of Salina, Kansas, Veronica Oberle of Claflin, Kansas, and Rita Hall of Federal Way, Washington; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.
