Mr. Kelly Ray Sprouse age 86 passed away early Monday morning April 23, 2012 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center in Americus. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday April 25, 2012 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Flowers officiating, burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends at the family residence 1406 Rose Avenue Americus.

Mr. Sprouse was born May 4, 1925 in Blakely, Ga. son of the late Walter Gaines Sprouse and Eula Pearl Spurlock Sprouse. He retired from Bell South where he worked as a Toll – Test Technician. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII in the Pacific Campaign, where he earned four Bronze Stars. He was a member of Flint Stones Camping Club, past President of CWA Communication Workers of America, and attended the First Baptist Church of Americus.

Mr. Sprouse is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Kelly Wayne Sprouse and Jean of Americus, Sister Eula Koons of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.; three Grandchildren David Sprouse and wife Jennifer of Orlando, FL. Amy Ham and husband Joe of Montezuma, Ga. and Rebecca Smith and husband Kyle of Cumming, Ga.; one Great Granddaughter Caitlin Ham of Montezuma, Ga. and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Sprouse was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years Marguerite Dorman Sprouse, Sister Martha Long and two Brothers, Edward Sprouse and Billy Sprouse.
