Truck driver. Born in Detroit, he spent all of his life (except for military service) in the Detroit area. In World War II, he was a truck driver for the 5th Armored. He was sent to France as part of the reinforcements after the Battle of the Bulge. He was wounded at the Ludendorff bridge at Remagen during World War II. While wounded, he carried another wounded soldier to safety, for which he was awarded the Purple Heart. He worked for the City of Dearborn and was an avid fisherman in retirement.
