Darrell B. Abrams, 69, died Aug. 11, 1999 at his residence after a long illness. An Owen County native, he was a retired IBM employee, a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion and Highland Christian Church.
Son of the late Dewey B. and David Ella Lathrem Abrams, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Allen Franklin and Sherley Wallace Abrams and a sister, Syble Abrams Figgins.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Purvis Abrams; a son, Bradford Scott Abrams, of Frankfort; three sisters, Opal Abrams Perry, Kathleen Abrams Moss, both of Georgetown, KY and JoAnn Abrams Moore of Frankfort, three brothers, Donald Wayne Abrams and David Darnel Abrams of Frankfort, and James Christopher Abrams, of Ludlow, OH.
Visitation was conducted August 13 at Rogers Funeral Home in Frankfort. The funeral was held August 14 at the funeral home with burial in Frankfort Cemetery.
