Abanatha
Mr. Abanatha died at 5:33 p.m. Saturday at Western Baptist Hospital.
He was a retired employee at VMV Railroad. He was a member of Grahamville Masonic Lodge 707 and Broadway Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Denise Henderson Abanatha; a son, John D. Abanatha of Paducah; a stepson, Brandon Hicks of Antioch, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Christi Tucker of West Paducah and Jamie Hicks of Paducah; two brothers, Larry Don Abanatha of Reidland and Shelton Abanatha Jr. of West Paducah; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. His parents were Shelton Abanatha Sr. and Clata Newman Abanatha.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where Masonic rites will be given at noon.
