Able was a World War II veteran. Able, was found dead in bed at the home of a sister, Mrs. Mattie Gleaves, eight and one-half miles east of Miami, at 7:30 a.m. Sunday. Death was attributed to a heart ailment. Survivors include another sister, Mrs. Vernie Watterson, of near Miami; six brothers, Glenn Able, Corpus Christi Texas, Jake Able, Monett Missouri; Verl Able and Millard Able, both of Miami, John Able, Baxter Springs Kansas, and Tom Able of Stroud Oklahoma; and an aunt, Mrs. C. C. Kipps of Miami.
The body was received by the Cooper funeral home.
