Larry Abrahamson, 59, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2004 at Bettendorf Health Care Center, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at 10:00 am at the Runge Mortuary. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Regenstrief Boys and Girls Club 825 Central Ave. Connersville, IN 47331.
Larry was born March 8, 1945 in Presho, SD, the son of Lawrence D. and Hazel M (Davis) Abrahamson. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Linda Howard on September 9, 1966 in Reliance, SD.
He was currently employed as an Industrial Engineer for Collins and Aikman Company in Rantoul, IL.
He was an avid bowler and golfer. Larry was a sports enthusiast who especially loved Notre Dame. He was a long-time member of the American Legion.
