Stuart McGuire Foster, 94, of Saxe, died April 20, 2010. He was a retired merchant, a member of Woodman of the World, and a life long member of Hebron United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Lucille Newcomb Foster; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Wendell Hite of South Boston; brothers, Leroy Foster of Chase City, Sam Foster of Richmond; sisters, Charlotte Adams of Drakes Branch and Barbara Burnette of Louisburg, N.C.; grandchildren, Wendy H. Knott of Roxboro, N.C., and Kendrick Hite of South Boston; and great-granddaughter, Kelsey Knott.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Hebron United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hebron United Methodist Church Building Fund, c/o David Palmer, 3385 Roanoke Station Road, Randolph, VA 23962.
