Anthony J. “Tony” Adam, 73, died Friday at St. John’s Hospital in Salina.
Mr. Adam was born April 3, 1903 in Plainville and spent his life in the community. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Sacred Heart parish and the Knights of Columbus, Plainville.
Surviving are the widow, Eda; six daughters: Mrs. Leona McClanahan, Mrs. Nettie Williams, Mrs. Betty Salzman, Mrs. Maxine Hoeffner, and Miss Lucy Adam, all of Salina and Mrs. Mildred Loiseau, Denver, Colo.; four sons: Fred, of the home; Lee and Ken of Salina; and Gerald, of Manhattan; six sisters: Mrs. Pauline Becker, Mrs. Susan Garvert and Mrs. Katie Schrandt, all of Plainville; Mrs. Anna Ellenz, Denver, Colo; sister Rose Gertrude, Concordia, and Mrs. Isabel Klausner, Wichita, and 22 grandchildren.
The rosary was recited at the Knights of Columbus Hall Sunday evening at 7:30. Funeral services were held Monday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville with the Rev. Joseph Weimer officiating.
