Eda Mary Adam, 86, Plainville, died Saturday, February 24, 1996, at the Santa Fe Campus of the Salina Regional Medical Center in Salina, Kansas.
She was born August 17, 1909, near Zurich and was the daughter of Joseph and Mathilda (Boisvert) Saindon.
On April 3, 1929 she was united in marriage in Plainville to Anthony J. Adam. He died December 24, 1976.
She was a farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church, the Sacred Heart Guild and the Plainville Senior Citizens Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Levi and Homer Saiindon; and one sister, Eva Lombardie.
Survivors include four sons: Leland Adam of Salina, Gerald Adam of Manhattan, Fred Adam of Plainville and Ken Adam of Siloam Springs, Ar.; six daughters: Leona McClanahan, Nettie Williams, Betty Salzman and Maxine Hoeffner of Salina, Millie Loiseau of Denver, Co., and Lucy Johnson of Hutchinson; two brothers: Lawrence Saindon of Zurich and Edmond Saindon of Denver, Co.; twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
A Rosary was recited by the Sacred Heart Guild and the Parish Vigil Service was Monday, February 26, 1996 at the Moore Funeral Chapel in Plainville. The Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, February 27, 1996 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville, with Fr. Al B. Brungardt as Celebrant; burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
The family suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Church.
