Debra Diane (Knott) Abbas was born on April 7, 1958 in Iowa Falls; Hardin County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Marlyn Knott and Gloria Akers Chaplin Knott. Debra graduated from the Iowa Falls High School in 1976. On May 7, 1976 she was united in marriage to Mike Roelfs in Iowa Falls. To this marriage were two children, Jaime and Michael. After his death, Debra married Steve Abbas on June 24, 2000 in Alden. Debra worked at Boyt's in Human Resource. She enjoyed camping, her grandchildren and family, car races, the San Diego Chargers, bowling, enjoyed entertaining and loved animals.

Those left to mourn her passing are: Her husband: Steve; her son: Michael Roelfs of Seattle, Washington; her daughter: Jaime Roelfs of Webster City, Iowa; her father: Marlyn Knott of Iowa Falls, Iowa; her brother: Rick (Julie) Knott of Iowa Falls; also her three grandchildren: Chase & Chelsey Wagoner and Caitlyn Gapp all of Webster City, Iowa.
