Forest L. Abbott, 61, manager and former owner of the City Meat Market near Maple Point, east of Lafayette, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Sunday at the home of his brother-in-law, Robert Hawkins of Lebanon, where he and his family were spending the afternoon. The Abbott family lives in Lafayette.
He was married to the former Ruth Wampler, daughter of Mrs. Edith Wampler of Mulberry, in 1942. She survives along with two sons, Jimmy and Thomas, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Michael Denhardt of Lafayette, his mother and three sisters. Mr. Abbott was born in Scott county.
He was buried in the Fair Haven cemetery, north of Mulberry, Wednesday afternoon, following rites at the Trinity Methodist church, Lafayette.
