MABEL BISHOP SERVICES HELD HERE SATURDAY

Funeral services were held at the Root Mortuary Saturday for Mrs. Mabel BISHOP, who died in St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Thursday, following hospitalization for two days after suffering a stroke.

Mrs. BISHOP had lived most of her life in Steamboat Springs, moved to Grand Jet with her husband Gilbert O. about fifteen months ago, hoping that the change would benefit her health. Mr. BISHOP was an operator of heavy construction equipment with the county and a rancher for many years.

She was a member of the Euzoa Bible Church and Royal Neighbors. Surviving beside her husband are two sons, Glen G. of Grand Junction and Howard D. of Colorado Springs, one daughter, Mrs. Corale SINDEN of Craig; a brother, Cecil ACTON of Yankton, South Dakota. And a sister, Miss Alma BAER of Steamboat SPRINGS and seven grandchildren. Another son, Raymond R. preceded his mother in death.

The Reverend Arthur Goodrich officiated at the service. Miss Rachel Wood accompanied by Maxine Ohman sang "My Christ Understands" and "Beyond the Sunset".

Pallbearers were Andrew McDERMOTT, Willard MARSHALL, Ivan SHUPP, Clarence PATTERSON, Russell OHMAN and John OLSON.
