On Nov. 9, 1955, she married Obert Aaberg at the Grove Lake Lutheran Church of rural Pelican Rapids. Together they purchased the land and home at their present farm where they developed the farmstead into the "Aber" Registered Holstein Dairy Farm. Jeanette worked side-by-side with Obert for 28 years as they exhibited and bred Holstein cattle. They received the 1964 Outstanding Young Farmer Award, and were also named the Red River Valley Outstanding Dairymen Couple in 1975. After the dairy business Jeanette then played a role in Obert's sales business. She entered the Broen Home in February of 2002. She was a member of Our Savior's Church and it's Ladies Aid, and the Oscar 4H Club. She enjoyed sewing and needlework, baking, playing accordion, spending time with family and had a love of animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Helen Lein and Violet Christenson; and three brothers: George, Milo and Orville Haugrud.
Visitation: Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Savior's Church, Rothsay
