Charles Oliver
Charles (Tuck) Edgar Oliver, 73, passed away Thursday October 19, at St. Helena Hospital following a long illness. Mr Oliver was born July 22, 1916 in Lexington, Ken., to Melvin and Martha Oliver. He grew up and attended schools on Lexington.
He moved to California in the mid 1930's. He served in the United States Army from 1941 to 1945. Mr. Oliver met Alma Sculatti on Jan. 29, 1949. They were married. They have lived in St. Helena since that time.
Mr. Oliver worked for Beaulieu Vineyards for 25 years and he retired a cellar master.
He was a member of American Legion S. Helena post 199 and a past member of the St. Helena Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Oliver is survived by his wife Alma, one son Michael Oliver of St. Helena; one brother Jay Oliver of Clearlake.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct 23, at Morrison Funeral Chapel. Entombment followed in the St. Helena Cemetery.
Family prefers donations to donor's choice.
Morrison Funeral Chapel in St. Helena was in charge of arrangements.
