Margaret Lucille Branic, 88 of Belton, MO, died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Beautiful Savior Nursing Home in Belton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO with visitation from 10:00-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in Peculiar Cemetery, Peculiar, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, Lee's Summit, MO.
Margaret was born April 1, 1922 in Junction City, KS, the daughter of Alonzo and Mary Frances (Neyer) Aberwald. She grew up in Junction City.

Margaret lived in Peculiar, MO from 1956-1979 before moving to Belton in 1979. She worked as an office clerk for the Belton Shopper for 15 years before retiring in 1986.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles on December 31, 1984, one son, Randy and one step-granddaughter, Chelie. She is survived by one daughter, Kay Kearney and her husband, Doug of Peculiar, MO; one stepson, J. R. Branic and his wife, Jan of Deepwater, MO; one sister, Edna Jackson of Junction City, KS; two grandchildren, Lee Ann and Dean; two step-grandchildren, Cindy and Chris; three great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
