Stafford Willie Abbott was born November 11, 1937, at Uvalde, Texas, he was 8 years 8 months and 9 days old. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Abbott. Stafford passed to the third grade in May. He was always very popular with his classmates and was outstanding in that he had such a sunny disposition. He was hurt quite badly last winter at school but took it in his usual manly manner. He was always good natured in his play with other children all of whom liked him very well. At his birthday party he gave away as many presents as he received.

In loving memory of our little son, Stafford Willie Abbott, who passed away seven years ago June 20:
God walked into his garden
Seven years ago today.
He sought a perfect flower,
So he took one so dear away.
The Pearly Gates were opened,
A gentle voice said "Come".
And with farewell unspoken
He gently entered home.
