Joseph Bender, 44, died at 12:55 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 1993, Medco North Nursing Home in Evansville, after a lengthy illness.

He was born November 6, 1948, in Princeton, and resided in Evansville for the past three years, moving from Princeton where he resided most of his life. Bender was a former Princeton business owner and a licensed real estate agent. He was graduated from Princeton High School in 1966. He was a member of the National Honor Society.

Preceding him in death was his father, Delbert Bender.

Surviving are his mother, Mildred Jones of Evansville; a brother, Brent K. Bender of Patoka; a sister, Connie Sibbitt of Fort Branch; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Colvin Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. William Ping officiating. Burial was in Columbia White Church Cemetery.
