William L. "Bill" Aagesen, 67, of Oelwein, Iowa died at his home on Saturday, September 11, 2010.

There will be no services. Inurnment: Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, Iowa.

William Lee Aagesen was born on August 18, 1943 at Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Marcellus Miller & Zelda (Potts) Aagesen. He received his education at the Hampton schools.

Bill was married to Sherry Kay Sanders on March 11, 1962 at the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa. They later divorced.

Bill worked with his father at the DX Gas Station in Hampton. He then moved to Oelwein in 1972 to manage the Holiday Gas Station. Bill worked at Iowa Ham in Independence and then at IBP/Tyson in Waterloo from which he retired in 2005.

He was a member of the Odd Rods Car Club in Oelwein.

He enjoyed trout fishing, motorcycle riding and talking with friends on his C.B. radio.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
