SMITHVILLE REVIEW, Smithville, TN, September 3, 2003:
Funeral services for Betty Abernathy, 67, of Smithville, TN were held Tuesday, August 18, 2003 at the Chapel of Love- Cantrell Funeral Home.
Bro. Al Mahan officiated and burial followed in Bonham Cemetery.
Mrs. Abernathy died Saturday, August 16, 2003 at Centennial Medical Center. She was retired from Shoneys and a member of The Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Lester Burton and Julia Adcox Burton.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Mike) Boyd; two grandsons: John Fagan and Jason Bright and one great-granddaughter; Chyanne Fagan all of Smithville; two sisters: Francis Perrin of Kentucky and Sue Kinzer of Hermitage.
Serving as pallbearers were John Fuson, Jason Bright, Brock Nokes, Allen and Robert Kinzer, Nick Boyd, Chad Coppinger and Michael Ellis.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
